Skydance Paramount Set to Cut Around 2,000 US Jobs – News

Skydance Paramount will begin large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 positions in the United States under a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.

The layoffs come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August valued at $8.4bn.

Further global layoffs are anticipated, as the firm aiming to announce complete information during its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports suggested the firm was looking to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 roles by early November.

As of December 2024, Paramount employed nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 temporary project employees.
